Websites that You can Update, Simply and Safely.
If your website’s content can only be updated by a web developer, you’re wasting money. By using WordPress as a back-end in our Content Management System websites, we enable you to take full control of all of your content and media. WordPress has become the most popular CMS available, allowing you to maintain your website’s information with little more effort than it takes to write a Word document.
Using Open Source solutions has many advantages; your website will be exportable and not locked in to a proproprietry format, you’ll be able to seamlessly change to other web developers should you ever choose and there are no licensing costs for the software – it’s completely free. Here are just some of the WordPress websites we’ve created for our clients:
Aille River Hostel Doolin.
Aille River Hostel in Doolin was voted best hostel in Ireland in 2008 and 2010 in the Independent Holiday Hostels awards and has received a string of other endorsements in recent years.
By providing a wealth of information on local activities and places of interest, the Aille River website attracts substantial web traffic from holidaymakers researching the Doolin area, in many cases converting this to customers.
Speleological Union of Ireland.
When researching options for a new website, the SUI’s main requirement was for an online presence that could be fully managed by its officers. Because their positions change annually, it was important that the solution was easy to learn and use.
The WordPress website developed for the organisation makes it easy to publish information and keep it current. We completely redesigned the look and feel of their previous site, resulting in a valuable information resource for SUI members and and prospective cavers alike.
Bua Marketing is a Digital Marketing Agency based in Sligo. Specialising in online marketing and Social Media, Bua Marketing has run campaigns for clients across the North West including the Western Development Commission, IT Sligo and Model Gallery.
The custom WordPress website developed for Bua Marketing was based on their striking branding and colour palette. The result is a quirky, professional website that conveys Bua’s energetic ethos and approach..
At the Heart of Marketing.
Sharon Hearty is a serial marketing results addict, with 20 years steeped in delivering marketing results for small business owners growing customers & profits. Her hands-on insight into today’s challenging market help prevent business owners making expensive mistakes in their marketing and advertising.
As a Marketer, the most important part of Sharon’s website is her message, and this was taken into account during it’s design. The uncluttered layout and clean type make her articles accessible while the prominent calls to action keep visitor conversion rates high.
Capture is Sligo’s only gallery dedicated to Fine Art Photography.
The minimalist design of the Capture website let the photography speak for itself. An Adobe Flash image browser was integrated into the backend to allow galleries be displayed through Flash and images be resized to fullscreen. The WordPress installation was configured as a simple content management system to mange artists, exhibitions and slideshows.
Regretfully, Capture Gallery closed in 2011.
Grant Water reduce the water costs of their customers by offering a wide range of consumer and commercial water treatment systems.
They had just finished a branding overhaul when they approached Beanstalk about a new website.
We completely rebuilt their existing site using a CMS and redesigned it in line with their updated branding. The new site has more than doubled visitor numbers and projects a more realistic and professional image of the company.
Pictures were more important than words for this Makeup Artist’s website so a single page mini-site was ideal for presenting the text, photos and video that were needed.
Although Airbrush Makeup is contained in a single-page, we’ve built it on a stripped down WordPress installation that inserts each section from the back-end into its own place on the page. This make the site extremely simple to manage and gives it the option of being extended into a larger site at any stage in the future.
North West Connects.
An initiative of Sligo Open Coffee members, Northwest Connects was the first conference of its kind to take place in Ireland’s North West region. The event was designed to connect local entrepreneurs, innovators and anyone else with business ideas and showcased the support and expertise available in the region through a series of panel discussions and seminars. Northwestconnects.ie was created as a promotional website for the event which was sponsored by Lookwest, Sligo County Enterprise Board and AIB.
This travel and photography blog, a personal project of Eddie Johnston, was designed around the theme of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was used as an online journal for a 200 day around-the-world trip.
Photography from the site have been published in a Polish wine magazine (Czas Wina) and are to appear on a classical music CD by June Armstrong. The blog was longlisted in the 2009 Irish Blog Awards in the Best Photography Blog category.
