We can develop a website or web application to meet any needs. Some common web development options are listed here.
Single Page Websites
A single page website can be an effective way to start your online presence, and having a web presence from an early stage will help increase your rank in search engine result pages (did you know that one of the factors affecting your websites performance in search is its age?). We generally advise on having a more substantial website with separate pages for each subject so that each page can be optimised for a particular subset of keywords as this will result in better search engine performance. Any single page site we create can be easily upgraded to a full website at a later stage.
Multi Page Websites
Multi page sites are the most common type of site we create. Sometimes called 'brochure sites' or 'static sites' due to the fact that their content is often left unchanged for long periods of time, our sites are different in that they come with content management facilities as standard and can be updated quickly and easily. We advise our clients to keep their content fresh and actively promote the use of blogging and other forms of social / new media to attract targeted visitors to their site and encourage repeat visits.
Blogs
Business blogging has surged in recent years — having a blog allows you to build a stronger personal connection with your customers, and if you're knowledgeable in a particular field or simply have something interesting to say, your blog can develop a following of readers. As a bonus, the structure of blogs and their use of categories and tags to generate keywords makes blog pages extremely search engine friendly. Blogs are often responsible for taking in the vast majority of a websites traffic. They can form a separate section of a website or exist as a standalone site.
Forums & Galleries
Forums and galleries are another way of creating a sense of community around your website. A forum is a discussion area on a website where users can start discussions or read and respond to posts made by other forum users. They can focus on any subject and can have a variety of uses, from ways of providing support to channels for receiving feedback on your products or services. A gallery allows users to easily upload and manage images on their own site. Like forums, galleries can form complete websites or sub-sections within your website. Whether you're a photographer or artist wanting to reach a wider audience or an organisation that wants to display its photo collection, a gallery will give you full control of your photos on your website.
E-commerce Sites
By having the capability to sell your product online you'll open your business to a potentially unlimited customer base and provide added convenience to existing customers. Customers will have access to your products and the ability to place orders at any time, giving you increases in sales and the edge over your competitors. You'll have full control of your content, while sensitive information and payment processing will be handled offsite by a secure server to ensure optimum security and privacy. You don't need to sell a physical product to take advantage of e-commerce. We can build systems that cater for anything from music and document sales to membership subscriptions and online conference registrations.
Custom Web Applications
It's often the case that customers require non-standard websites with functionality completely specified by them. This was the case with Beautifuljobs.ie for instance, one of our previous projects where the main requirement was an easy to use interface for displaying and applying to jobs in Ireland's beauty industry. We designed and developed a website that is easy and pleasurable to use — applicants apply for jobs in three simple steps without needing to register while employers can add positions quickly and easily. The feedback received from both employers and candidates has been excellent and the site has quickly become one of Ireland's top beauty recruitment resources.
